• Every day I want to ask a question, but I keep forgetting to do so. I know what Permalink I’m using, but I’m worried about how or where some of my posts were Indexed with a Referring page that appears in Google Console as Ap_page=shortlink&ap_c=. Should i be concerned that the crawlers might be seeing urls which I’m not aware of? Can it after SEO with redirects? And lastly can it be disabled with a function? Because am already using remove shortlink rel

Is the referring domain yours or someone else’s? If someone else, review their other content. If it’s a low quality trashy site, you can disavow the backlink through Google.

If it belongs to your domain and it’s not anything you’ve created it’s likely something your theme or plugin has implemented. Try navigating to the backlink. If there are no errors, it may not be of any concern. You could isolate the module responsible anyway by selectively switching themes or deactivating plugins until the backlink returns an error.

When I copied and ran the shortlink, I was taken to the homepage, which suggests that it was probably created by the theme I’m using. But I’ll store this for later because I can’t even find it on Source Code. (screenshot)
