    Hi there!

When i edit my htaccess with vim it highlights everything behind the first [a-z0-9\] quote in row 12.

I think this highlight means that something is not working correct here.
When i remove the quotes nothing is highlighted any more.
I do not dare to save the htaccess with removed quotes until now because i have good traffic in the moment.

My hoster pointed me on this “issue”. He said this can not work correctly.
He said this in return to my question that my backend seems slower when activating supercache.

what do you think about this?

    Howdy,

That looks good to me. You can check out that bit of regex in a tool like https://www.regexr.com/

The \ before the quotes indicates to escape the quotes so they’re seen as the character to be regex’d rather than the function that " serves within regex.

You can check out that bit of regex in a tool like

Do you know this one? Really ingenious.
