    Thank you for a great plugin!
    I′ve recently set up Google Ads Retargeting Tag, according to your guide:

    It seems to be working fine except for the abandoned cart audience in Google Ads is not filling up. Im a little confused about when that is suppose to be triggered. Is this supposed to be triggered for people visiting page_type = cart, or is this an event firing on “Add to cart”-click.

    When I check what is firing, no Google Ads tags are firing on the add to cart-clicks, but i can see “Page_type” “Cart” is firing on the checkout page.

    In the analytics set up there is an event firing for add to carts “gtm4wp.addProductToCartEEC”, that is working fine in Analytics. But what is the corresponding tag that should fired on add to carts when setting up Google Ads Dynamic retergeting?

    Also, as mentioned before, the page_type for the checkout is “cart” is this correct or is there an additional page type for the checkout?

    Hi,

    By default, it means “people visiting your cart page but not visiting the purchase page”.
    Wihtout any mentioning your site I am afraid I can not help you checking what could cause this issue.

    Hi Thomas, thank you for your reply, that answered my question.

    The description from Google is “People who added to cart but not purchased” which indicates that it should include people adding to cart but not visiting the cart page as well. Didnt make any sense since the Adwords retargeting tag doesnt seem to have a “trigger” for add to carts, but for “page_type”.

    Real cart page visits makes more sense.

    I understand if its “outside of support”. But do you know if it is possible to use your “gtm4wp.addProductToCartEEC” from Analytics to reach the real add carts audience in Adwords retargeting? Or do you recommend another way in Tag Manager and Adwords to build an Adwords audience of all “add to cart”-clicks.
