    Hi,

    Here is my issue.

When customer placed a product but not completed the order, the products stay in his/her cart thanks to cookies.

And I can see that order (number 123) on-hold

when he / she returns and started a checkout session again and completed the order, woocommerce generates a new order-number (456). so customer completes the order no problem at his / her side. but store dashboard shows 2 order (one is on-hold the other one is on-processing)

    is this the correct behaviour?

  • When the user makes the order, Woo creates a order on-hold (it’s not for abandoned cart on checkout is in the order pay), your client try to buy but abandoned. You can set a time for this to cancel this order if don’t accomplished for a certain time. The client make this checkout again and generate another id (other order). It’s correctly.

thanks @rlinsoliveira. Don’t you think it would be better to continue order process based on the same order number and not generate another ID as this is the same order for the same customer?

    Hi auludag,

This would be something you could definitely add to our ideas forum: https://ideas.woocommerce.com/

    Cheers!
