The MailChimp for WooCommerce plugin is installed and says it’s syncing, but MailChimp doesn’t actually seem to be getting our WooCommerce data.

First, MailChimp has been sending out our Abandoned Cart Email even if a customer has already purchased. (This has caused several very confused customers thinking their order didn’t go through.)

Second, all reports in MailChimp show $0 in revenue, which simply is not accurate.

    Help!

Hi @kate3686, we’re happy to help. Just to get a handle on the situation you’re experiencing, could you provide a few more pieces of information to help us understand the issue?

    – What plugin version are you running?
    – Is your site self-hosted, or is it a wordpress.com business account?
    – If it’s self-hosted, who is your hosting provider?
    – Is there any logging errors in the plugin’s logs tab (when it’s set to standard or debug)?
    – Do you have any caching plugins or services running (in regards to your question about abandoned carts)?
    – Have you tried a fresh uninstall or reinstall?

Thanks in advance for these details. I’ll keep an eye out for your reply.

Kyle, Thank you for your help! I think that perhaps these issues are due our setup where customers are sent to PayPal for payments. Would this then (1) trigger an abandoned cart and (2) not properly record each sale?

    To answer your questions:

    – Version 2.1.9
    – Self hosted (with GoDaddy)
    – Yes, we use the “Hummingbird” plugin for cache
    – Yes, we’ve uninstalled/reinstalled

    Thanks again!!

Hi @kate3686, we’ve been researching things on our side and unfortunately, we’re unable to replicate any of the issues you’ve described. Abandoned carts trigger exactly when they’re supposed to and PayPal transactions are recorded correctly in the reporting area.

One thing that I wanted to clarify on your initial comment though when you say “it’s syncing”; does that mean it’s still giving you visual feedback that the initial sync is still going on? Or do you see the blue resync button at the bottom (meaning it’s complete)?

If the issue still persists, you may want to try a fresh uninstall/reinstall of the latest plugin to see if that clears things up.

    Thanks,
    Kyle
