what is the rule to consider the abandoned cart? because I did several tests and it does not recognize any abandoned cart and does not send any email to the customer.

    Hi there @cris123pp,

If the customer adds an item to their cart, but then leaves the site and doesn’t complete the order, then that would count as an abandoned cart.

However, please note that they already have to be one of your confirmed subscribers, as described in the guide here:
    https://kb.mailpoet.com/article/277-woocommerce-automatic-emails

In your testing, are you using an account that is already subscribed to a list and confirmed?

I understood. In this case it gets complicated, as most abandoned carts are from unregistered or affiliated visitors.

How can I leave the option to opt-in to receive newsletters at checkout checked by default?

    Hi there,

How can I leave the option to opt-in to receive newsletters at checkout checked by default?

There’s no built-in option to have the opt-in checked by default, as described in this thread here:
    https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/move-opt-in-on-checkout-and-get-it-pre-checked/

It would be possible with some custom code, but as mentioned it would not be GDPR-compliant and is against our recommended policies.

That said, if you need help with custom code, we recommend reaching out to someone from Codeable: https://codeable.io
