    Hi,

When a user decides to register for a subscription on my site they are first taken to the page asking them to fill out their profile details. Following this, they are taken to the page to choose which subscription they want to register for. However, if the user abandons the checkout process here, the user remains registered to the site (just not asigned a subscription).

Is it possible not to register the user at all if the user abandons the checkout process for a paid membership? Having inactive users in the database makes management much more complex. Also, if the person comes back and decides he/she wants to pay for a membership using the same username or email as before, he/she can’t since it will already be taken (as an inactive account).

    Many thanks
    Gareth

  • I’m afraid if a user abandons checkout after having created their login details etc, there’s very little you can do to stop them, other than manually deleting inactive accounts that have never had a subscription.

For the plugin to work, the user account has to be created first so that Membership knows where to link the payment to if the DO complete the checkout process.

What if the user returns having in mind to make the due payment?

I’ve been checking all possibilities and don’t find a way to get a registered but not subscribed user paying for a subscription plan.

Maybe i’m not getting the plugin’s whole picture. Can you help me on this?

I was not getting the whole picture, so don’t bother to answer.

The page mydomain.com/subscriptions allows exactly users renew their subscriptions and pay for one new in case of have any.
