Abbreviated month names?

    The full length month names are making this widget overflow the widget area in my style.

    Is there some provision for using “JAN FEB MAR…” instead of “January February March…”?

    If this widget is not in active development, then I’ll just hack away at the source code myself. But I’d hate to make a change and then have someone clobber it in the future with a new update.

    Whoa! I can do this myself. The widget uses whatever date format you have set in your WP settings. If I select a custom format of “M j, Y” I get just what I want.

    Very cool.
