Ability of authors to edit pages?

    Are there plans, now that WordPress is being used routinely as website as well as blog software, to expand the Author usergroup so that authors can edit pages as well as posts? The next level up allows editors to delete stuff that isn’t theirs, which is rather a leap from the Author level.

    Just wondering if we’re going to need to install a plugin to allow our authors to access their pages as well as their posts, or whether there’s anything in the works to do that with the basic software.
