• Hallo Antoine,

I had to start a new topic.
Is it able to stick the different leagues under a short code so users can choose where to add predictions? (diff pages)

I would like to start a pre-pool of Eredivisie before the WK2014 starts so people can get used to the system. They will gain some play-time and experience and they can train on their Dutch League before the World cup starts.

    1. can we have a shortcode which creates a selector or dropdown on the matches page which takes users to a specific league with match predictor (eredivisie, CL, Europacup, etc.)
    2. Matches on seperate pages (we can already do that I believe) or does it put all matches at 1 page? So Eredivisie matches seperated from CL, WK2014 etc

Side note: Are you thinking about integrating a payment system to handle payed registrants, handling fees etc?

    Great plugin
    warm regards,
    Mike

If I understand correctly what you want to achieve, you can do the following:
    – make different match types: one for the Eredivisie and one (or more) for the World Cup.
    – use the [fp-predictionform] shortcode with the matchtype parameter on different pages for a prediction form for just the Eredivisie and one for the World Cup.
    – use the [fp-ranking] shortcode for the top players in the Eredivisie competition and the World Cup.

To clarify: a league in the context of the plugin is a group of users. A ranking is the ranking of users for a subset of matches and/or questions.

    1. can we have a shortcode which creates a selector or dropdown on the matches page which takes users to a specific league with match predictor (eredivisie, CL, Europacup, etc.)
    2. Matches on seperate pages (we can already do that I believe) or does it put all matches at 1 page? So Eredivisie matches seperated from CL, WK2014 etc

    1. see previous answer about [fp-predictionform]
    2. [fp-matches] and [fp-predictionform] can make listings of just a subset of the matches

Side note: Are you thinking about integrating a payment system to handle payed registrants, handling fees etc?

No. I have no knowledge or experience with payment systems. And it is not the main goal of the plugin.
Besides that, I am not taking a risk in getting into trouble with different legal systems all over the world ??

    Hoi Antoine,

But lets say a user is on the WK, CL, EURO, EREDIVISIE page?

I would like to give him the ability to (let’s say) select another league above the matches on the current page with a selector so he/ she can easily switch match pages. Is this possible?

Can’t you use some sort of tabbed browsing plugin for that? Or just add some styled buttons or links to the other pages?

    Football Pool

Speel mee in de pool WK (voorheen gratis)
    Eredivise (betaald)

Dat maakt die navigatie zo makkelijk!

    Ander vraagje:
Ik heb zelf het hele schema erin gezet, even in Direct Admin back up gemaakt en jouw schema gedownload.
Moet ik die gewoon hernoemen naar .csv en met FTP uploaden naar Upload?
Waar zie ik dan vervolgens de data?

I’m sorry but these are English language forums, so please use English or provide an English translation. Alternatively, use a WP support forum in your language.

AAAAH I see you have done that in the Rankings page quite well. That little thingy on top of the rankings page, that’s exactly what I am looking for as a little nifty nav!

About the schedule: the zip I posted in one of the other posts contains two text files; one Dutch and one English. You can FTP those text files to the upload folder, or use the upload function on the CSV import screen (if the upload dir is writable for the script, that is).

The CSV import screen (admin matches ? “Bulk change game schedule” at the top) contains a list of all the files in the upload dir.
