First of all: thanks for the great plugin! Today I learned the hard way that I can’t (by default) use this plugin on multiple sites, sharing one Redis instance ?? Which leads me to this question: why is there no option to choose the DB number in the plugin settings? Is it a technical reason?

I understand that I can edit my wp-config.php so I’ll do that for now.

    Hey!

Yes, you can set the WP_REDIS_DATABASE constant to any database number you like ??

It’s a lot better than using prefixes on a single database, because flushing is more efficient.

Hi Till, but what I meant to ask is why can’t I set this number in the settings interface instead of needing to edit the config file?

No, you have to set it in the wp-config.php file, since the object cache is loaded very early.

OK, I figured it must be something like that; thanks for clarifying. Perhaps You can add these instructions and this explanation to the settings page?

I’d be curious to hear more about it. What exactly would you want to see where?
