• Hello
A while back I added a plugin to disable comment. I now think it wasnt a good idea.
I have now removed the settings for this plugin and disabled it.
I went to the discussion on dashboard and entered the required fields.
Option to comment is still not showing, however if I go to my archived posts, list on sidebar, the option to comment is available on older posts.
I tried another theme but it still did not show comments. Hope you can help.

If you want to use that plugin, then uninstall/delete it.

Second, after that, clear all cache before viewing the site or dashboard:
    `

    • Flushing any caching plugins you might be running, as well as server and/or?browser caches. Not just your browser, but any op cache or content network cache as well?such as Cloudflare. That will solve many weird JavaScript issues.
    • Flushing Managed host caches. Managed WP hosting often has special caches. If your host has a “Purge Varnish” or “Flush Memcache” tool, try that. You can ask your provider to flush memcache and Varnish for you if necessary.

Thank you very much for the suggested solution. I mainly use Firefox but the orange button is not there so I had difficulty proceeding. I think I will pass this information on to my Host and see if they will do it for me.
    Thanks
    Alistair
