Ability to Create Playlists on Frontend
-
Hi
I’ve looked everywhere for this feature, but I can’t seem to find it!
What I need:
- Lets users choose the audio/videos that interest them from a list, and then they’re able to listen to/watch only the audio/videos they selected in a video playlist
- Needs to be done on the front end of site and to allow video playlist to be created without registering/logging into site, but allow users to save their unique URL to videos
- If users do register & are logged-in, the ability to save their playlist to their user account
Use Case:
The ability for visitors who are interested in a demo of my sites to be able to choose from a series of short demo videos so that they only have to watch demos of the site content & features that interest them.
Quite simply there are companies who charge a great deal for providing a tool that allows businesses to provide custom demos based on user’s answers in a form.
If you then incorporated an AI bot of some sort, then you could use this video plugin as part of a wider sales system, I guess, but I just need to be able to let users create a playlist of the stuff that interests them really quickly and easily.
Possible Workflow:
- User visits page with form
- User checks the checkboxes of the demo videos that they want to watch
- Playlist is generated and user starts to watch the demo videos that they selected
- Wishlist for added bonus features that would be nice:
- Dynamic URL creation using GET request that allows users to save the URL and access the playlist they created using the dynamic GET URL
- Short URL gets generated automatically
- QR Code Generated for it
- Dynamic URL can be found by user in their User Profile in CB Profile Builder dashboard
- Elementor support
- Crocoblock plugin support
- User needs to be able to edit the playlist at a later date if they want to.
Is this possible? And if not, would you be interested in adding it as a feature, or developing a custom add-on for your plugin? I might be interested in paying for this feature to be developed as I run a not-for-profit, and we need custom demos but will never be able to afford the commercial video & sales tools that provide this feature lol.
Hope you can help!
