Hello. Your plugin is helping me out alot. Is there a way to add individual briefings that will go to individual Alexa Skills. For example, I would like to create a briefing post for NY Events – that go to a Alexa Skill called NY Events. I would like to create a briefing post for NJ Events – that go to an Alexa Skill called NJ Events.

I tried to add 2 briefing posts with different titles and I used a category of ny and nj. Then when I added the feed to the Alexa skill as:

    /wp-json/alexa-fb/v1/briefings/?category=ny (Alexa SKill for NY)
    /wp-json/alexa-fb/v1/briefings/?category=nj (Alexa Skill for NJ)

It just shows the title to one of the briefings on the alexa – then says the title of each briefing, but only reads the first briefing.

I guess my question is with one install of this plugin on one wordpress site – can
I have the different briefings go to totally separate Alexa skills – or is it just one Alexa skill with multiple feeds to that one skill?

Just wondering.. a couple of things…

    (1) Would you be able to add a “clone to draft” link for the posts/briefings? I have a lot of posts that are somewhat repetitive in content.

    (2) I also noticed this today. For example, I have a briefing that is working perfect on Alexa. So this briefing is letting people know about a comedy show that is going to happen on March 19th. That briefing works fine. Alexa pulls it up – no problem.

But what I did was overwrite the briefing in WordPress with a new show that is going to happen on March 30th. But this briefing I scheduled for March 20th. The idea is that as soon as the March 19th show is over the scheduled briefing will then publish on the 20th – with the new show (March 30th) now going to Alexa.

When the scheduled post – publishes.. it works fine with the new briefing (March 30th)… but while it is sitting there scheduled… the old briefing (March 19th) won’t go through to Alexa now (even though I didn’t publish anything new yet (its just in a scheduled state). Alexa states that there is an issue with the skill. As soon as the scheduled post publishes.. it’s back up though.

Hi, this could happen if that’s the only briefing and if it’s in draft mode it won’t post any into the feed. Amazon is probably expecting at least 1 briefing to be live per feed. I would suggest not overwriting it like that and instead create new briefing each time, this is so they all have their own id which tells Amazon it’s a new item.

You can install a clone/duplicate post plugin that supports custom post types and it will clone the briefings fine. I use this: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/duplicate-post/
