• It would be nice to be able to hide the “Comments Closed” text when comments are diabled on a page/post.

If you wanted to be fancy about it, you could allow some CSS like in other spots so we can do a bit more with it, but personally, I’d just like to hide it. Whether by a toggle or by my own CSS in your hooks.

  • This is just down to your theme, it can say whatever you want it to say.

That is true for the WordPress-based commenting system, but not for the Facebook social plugin. The Facebook Comments for WordPress plugin produces it’s own “Comments Closed” string that I’d not be able to change unless I edited the plugin code. Even if it were simply enclosed in a class, I’d be able to style it, but it’s not, and I’m not exactly trying to track down that line of code in the plugin every time an upgrade is pushed out.

You should contact the plugin author about that, then. I’ll move this to the plugins section.

This wasn’t already in the plugins section?
Seems silly as I got to this comment form via a link on the plugin page.
    Thanks though.

Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll add it in the next update.
