Thanks for the positive feedback on the plugin and its support; much appreciated. Thanks as well for your question/suggestion.
The current MLA version has a “Search Media” feature that supports multiple keywords and phrases. It is available on the Media/Assistant screen, the Media/Library grid mode screen and in the modal window used by Gutenberg blocks such as Image and Gallery. You should see the text box, a Search button and some checkboxes and radio buttons in the toolbar above the thumbnail array. You can check the boxes you want to search in and the connector to use if multiple keywords appear in the text box. You can find quite a bit of help with more complex searches bu pulling down the Help menu in the upper right corner of the Media/Assistant screen and clicking the “Search Media” topic. The same rules apply to the grid view and modal window contexts.
The current MLA version also has a powerful “Terms Search” feature which does a keyword search on the term names assigned to Media Library items. Terms Search is available on the Media/Assistant screen, the Media/Library grid mode screen and in the modal window used by Gutenberg blocks such as Image and Gallery. You should see the “Terms Search” button in the toolbar above the thumbnail array. The Settings/Media Library Assistant Documentation tab has a “Terms Search – filtering on taxonomy term names” section with much more information on this feature.
If you don’t see either or both of these features, navigate to the Settings/Media Library Assistant General tab, scroll down to the “Media Manager/Media Grid Enhancements” section and make sure the appropriate options are enabled.
I hope that gets you started on using MLA’s search functions for your application. ?I will leave this topic unresolved for now in case you have problems or further questions regarding the above suggestions. If so, any additional information you can provide will be helpful. I look forward to hearing back from you, and thanks for your interest in the plugin.
