I’d still like the option to turn off automatic updates and control them when I want to update. Anything in the plan for that?

Sorry, been using WordPress for such a long time and I’d rather test it out before my live site gets an automatic update and I really don’t want it to update until I give it the go ahead myself.

    Case in point from 3.7:

When I updated, I had to reload when given a data not received message in my browser, and got the generic WordPress has been updated page, and instead of it going to my WordPress backend on reload, it went to my site’s front page. I don’t think this is suppose to happen, at least according to the beta site I’ve been testing RCs on.

Yes you can. We’d rather you didn’t. The hope is if you’re really into testing, you’ll join us on betas to prevent anything like that from happening.

(Also the odds are you have a plugin/theme conflict, which is ALSO something we’d really really love to know about as early as possible.)

No, a plugin conflict shouldn’t have occurred on my live site if my beta site has the same things installed.

May have been a random thing… my internet out in the boonies is not reliable anyway.

I’m going to mark this as resolved and put your suggestion from the Master list on my updated 3.7 post announcement… thank’s Mika!

No prob ?? Also remember that the auto will ONLY do minor releases. I can see this happening on a major, but the minors should not ??

    Yes, thanks again ??

I’m still going to do this for myself as I’m online enough to catch these updates and I will be becoming more active as a beta as there are some other areas I’d also like to participate in.
