Ability to upload / download email content

  • Hi.
    I have set up Woocommerce with many of the email templates enabled. I have just typed over a fair number of them to change the default text.

    What I’m wondering is if in a future version, we could have an import / export function – as I understand that a future update of the template could cause my changes to be lost?

    I do ‘copy to theme’ but assume this is no guarantee that my changes will survive?

    It’s great that you’re thinking ahead about this. Copying the templates to the theme will keep them safe during WooCommerce updates but not during a theme update.

    What you can do is create a child theme and place the changes there. Child themes provide a way to override files that will be kept safe when the original (parent) theme is updated.
