Able to access admin area but not main site

    I have installed wordpress on my computer using the instructions given on this site and everything went smoothly. I am able to log into the admin area with no problems and use it as normal, but when I attempt to load the main site (/wordpress/index.php), I am presented with a blank page. There are no error messages given and the source code is also blank.

    Can anyone suggest where I can look to sort this out?

    I found out that it was because the theme was broken. I have fixed this and now works fine.
