Able to add user based on uid but login fails

  • I have a strange problem. I am able to add user once i configure the settings, and it automatically sends an email to the user via the email address it grabs from the ldap directory.

    But the login portion does not work. It throws an:
    ERROR: Unknown error in LDAP Authentication.

    I know that it is connected with the ldap directory because it automatically sends an email to the user which is has to pull from the ldap directory based on the UID.

    Any insight would be helpful.
