Able to Double Click Then Save Image with Copyright-Protection

    Can someone please take a look at this? My site is Comfort Climate Service About

    The image cannot be selected and copied until you double click on the image. When the image opens in a different window, it can be saved or downloaded.

    Is there a way for me to not allow double clicking on images?

    Try plugin WP Photo Album, look on my page https://www.kabelovky.net Web is about Czech fortification. Basic picture gallery in WP, is not good, for me. In WPPA I use lightbox and Copyright-Protection working ok, but Opera browser have small problem, wrote in differt topic.

    Sandy, I’m having the same problem as you, where the images in the articles are fine with regard to no right-click allowed. It’s when the image is clicked on, thus opened in a new tab, that it is no longer protected.

    I don’t like the idea of having to add yet another plugin to load photos onto a page so I’m here searching for alternatives.

    I don’t want to watermark all the photos on my site, so that’s not a solution at all, as my site is a travel site… People kind of come to see the photos.

    If I figure something out, I’ll let you know.

    Sandy – I found a solution to the problem…

    This is to be used in conjunction with a no right-click plugin, such as the one you’re already using.

    Do a search for another plugin that removes the image links, such as Remove Image Links https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/remove-image-links/

    Once that’s installed and activated, your images become non-clickable. I just added this to my site, https://www.explorationtravelmagazine.com, and it works as it says it will.

    Thank you so much, PIPDigitalCom. I will give it a try. I’m with you, and don’t prefer watermarks on the photos.

    I would suggest that when you upload the pictures to the post, attach the picture to no link, ( none) so that way they wont be able to open it in a new tab. the steps are when you upload the picture, on the right side, it asks if you want to place the picture Left, Center or Right, around that area you can find what i mean.

    Just to be clear on this – ANY photo you put online can be easily downloaded/copied by anyone viewing the site. Try this – in Firefox, use Page Info – now click on the media tab in the pop-up window – there are all of your images – select any one – click save image.

    Just to be clear, it’s always understood that using the methods I suggested above will only stop the average image stealer. Those who steal images for more than sport will be able to do so, no matter what you do. However, I don’t seem to have problems with the pros stealing my images, my biggest theft problems are people who believe, “If it’s on the internet, it must be free” type people.

    I’ve also added the code to my site to keep Google Images out, thus reducing my photos being found in a Google Image search, which is where the VAST majority of my images are stolen, especially since they changed to showing a full-sized image that is easily stolen.

    I want that!
    Is it specific code that you can share, or is it a Plugin that is available?
    I fight a constant battle against having my art images, my livelihood, being used from Image Search pages.
    I would like the same type of code for Bing Images, too.
    Can you be of any help to me? I am a total ‘dummie’ when it comes to things like this, and I hope not to be laughed at too loudly.

    I downloaded the copyright protection plugin. I now have a folder with text and php files, no executable files. I’m not sure what to do next.

    @leslie – the code you use to prevent your images from being crawled by Google Images is: <meta name=”robots” content=”noimageindex”>

    This code should be anywhere in between your <head> and </head>. I did this about a month ago and it worked for me.

    @littlelouise – Not knowing what else you’d like to protect, I’m not sure how to advise you. There are a variety of plugins and protections for a variety of things needing protected. Would you be more specific?

    @pipdigitalcom – I want to protect the illustrations on my site. I’m just not clear how the plugin works. I downloaded it yesterday. Does it automatically do something or do I have to write code? If so, where do I add the code? Do I go to ‘edit -> page’ and add the code there?

    Which plugin did you d/l? Was it the copyright one? Once you install it, you need to look at the settings for it and set it to the level of protection you want.

    I’m not sure how to interpret the php code and set to the level of protection…?
