• Hi

I just updated my site using the Update feature in WordPress this morning. I then went to load a new theme on the site using the theme browser in WordPress, but when installing it gives me this error:

Download failed. SSL certificate problem, verify that the CA cert is OK. Details: error:14090086:SSL routines:SSL3_GET_SERVER_CERTIFICATE:certificate verify failed

I seem to get that for all themes I try to load.

I found this troubleshooting guide: https://support.quadrahosting.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=215 but it seems like a strange thing to do. I’d have thought the upgrade of WordPress took care of that. Looking at the CA file’s timestamp, it seems it was updated today when I updated WordPress.

I’ve not previously tried to load any new themes on this site. Any suggestions? Thanks,

    David

  • Hi! I have the same problem. I have tried several things but not luck yet.

My system is old I know, but I can′t change it.

    OS: Darwin
    Server: Apache/2.2.17 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.17 OpenSSL/0.9.7l DAV/2 PHP/5.2.15

I really need help on this. I can’t install any update or plugin automatically, only manual.

WP HTTP Error: SSL certificate problem, verify that the CA cert is OK. Details: error:14090086:SSL routines:SSL3_GET_SERVER_CERTIFICATE:certificate verify failed
