“About Author” not loading info

  • Dears, I am still getting used to this plugin but I am loving it so far. However, when I try to use the “About Author” block, it does not load the info (name, bio) and keeps showing “Loading” forever.

    Before I used the plugin, I tried it in a draft page to get used with the new blocks and its settings and the “About Author” worked properly.

    When I started editing the actual pages it failed. I tried reverting the page to draft with no results. I keeps showing “loading” forever and if try to refresh the page or visualize it, it does not show name and bio, just “admin” and a dummy image.

    Any clue on that? This was the only block I had problems with. Others are working fine so far.

    I am using WordPress 5.2.3 with a custom theme.

    Hi Hardeep. After an hour I figured it out. The page I was trying to add the block was one of the oldest created in my site and the author was still “admin”. After I changed the author to my name, the block worked fine.

    Sorry for the stupid mistake and thank you very much for the prompt answer.

    By the way, the plugin is great. I will give it a 5 stars.

    I do not know if that is possible, but this thread can be deleted or closed.

    Yes, I can close the thread. And such stupid mistakes happen, I just spent 2 hours trying to work why one function wasn’t working, then realized 5 mins ago that I wasn’t even adding the file which contained that function in it. ??
