I follow the break of compatibility between Codelights and PageBuilder.

Codelights recently updated their site and plugin but did not fix the bug, they simply removed PageBuilder from the supported systems (you can still use Codelights with shortcuts inside the PB Widget Editor).

    Codelights states:
“No, CodeLights no longer supports SiteOrigin Page Builder natively two to the SiteOrigin’s complete change of widgets API Workaround: you can still create CodeLights shortcode in a plain text editor, and add this shortcode to the SiteOrigin editor” on https: // it.www.ads-software.com/plugins/codelights-shortcodes-and-widgets/

Question, should the correction only be made by Codelights? They asked for help in the plugin support, (https://github.com/rsukhar/codelights/) is it possible to indicate the necessary modification?

Andrew has already indicated the possible problem https://github.com/rsukhar/codelights/issues/1

Is there anything we can do to help you bring back full support between these two plugins?
    Thank you.

    Hi @darkmaso

    Thanks for reaching out.

The issue at https://github.com/rsukhar/codelights/issues/1 was opened by a user. I don’t believe that the issue was opened by the CodeLights author. As far as I’m aware, the author hasn’t ever reached out to us for assistance.

Page Builder 2.10.0 was updated to support the “new” method of registering widgets in the WordPress core (support widgets registered using instances instead of class names). The WordPress core reference can be found here: https://developer.www.ads-software.com/reference/classes/wp_widget_factory/register/#changelog.

To resolve this challenge, an update would need to be made by CodeLights. Given the updates made to the CodeLights plugin name and readme file, it doesn’t look like the author is willing to make the required change.

We often face similar challenges ourselves when a change is made by WP Bakery or Elementor and we’re required to update our Widgets Bundle to ensure continued compatibility.

Sorry, I don’t have better news.
