  • Where are you making these changes?

First decide where you want madebymt.com to land, then make sure your cPanel (server) is sending it there and that your settings at Dashboard > Settings > General match so madebymt.com will/can only ever go there. After that, everything else (such as adding /blog/ or whatever at the end of madebymt.com) happens via the WordPress Menu structure.

Sorry it’s kind of complicated, first when I bought my domain and install wordpress, I thought need to add some name after it. so I install wordpress to madebymt.com/blog, and I ask my host server help me set up people typing madebymt.com will be direct to madebymt.com/blog (which is my homepage with all my newest post and everything.

And recently thinking maybe set my shop page to my homepage when people landing my site, so I went to wordpress setting -> reading -> static page -> Front page to be my shop page. so now that is my home page to my site.

Then everyone typing in madebymt.com will landing my shop page, but my blog post URL is get cover my shop pager now, so when i click blog when be the same page.

I was thinking is anyway to fix that problem, maybe I should just change back or change other theme might help.

Shop page original UR is : madebymt.com/blog/shop –> turn to madebymt.com/blog
My post original URL is : madebymt.com/blog

    Sorry for all the pain!
    Thank you for your response!

I went to wordpress setting -> reading -> static page -> Front page to be my shop page. so now that is my home page to my site.

It is fine to set that in any way you wish, and changing your theme would not make any difference there as far as I know. However, do *not* change what you see at Dashboard > Settings > General since that does something much different.

when I bought my domain and install wordpress…I ask my host server help me set up people typing madebymt.com will be direct to madebymt.com/blog

That can be changed, but we first need to know how your host did that. So, what do your have showing in the boxes at Dashboard > Settings > General? Also, are you able to access your server files to see what might be set up there?

    HI leejosepho
    Thank you for your response.
I didn’t change any setting -> general ->WordPress Address (URL) / Site Address (URL), but I accidently change before and whole site not work, and ask my hosting help me out with it and back to normal, and I never change since then.

I just thought everyone site normal get in will be blog post, but I want to change it to me more like a e-commerce site, so home page wont’t show my blog post need to click the “blog ” button, but right now I can’t figure out how to make blog post URL to be seperate from my home page URL.

Thank you so much for all the help, really really appreciate your time.
