About the meta title&description of homepage…

In Yoast SEO setting page,it showed “You can set the title and description of the static home page by editing the static home page ?”,so I have to enter into this link of editing the static home page to write the title and description in home page,otherwise I have no idea to set up META title/DESC.
Actually, I’d like not to show meta titl&description details in the homepage including “Home”words..
