about the settings in ‘Social’

    Hi!

    I have a question regarding the settings in the ‘Social’ part of yoast settings. Under Facebook there is a place to add information about the frontpage. What information exactly should I put in there? I have no idea what that is about? Should I use the same as in my site title and tag line? And what picture? What I mean is Where will this be shown?I have been searching and reading your articles but it gives no more information. All it says it that I should fill this out. But no explanation about what I am filling out and how it will look like?

    The “Social” part of the plugin is where you can enter your OpenGraph meta data. It’s the data (title, image, etc) that will be shown when you share your URL (website page) to a social media platform like Facebook.

    Hi again!

    No I please do have a question because my question was never answered ?? I have read that article, many times. It still does not explain what is “Frontpage”? And where and how is this frontpage shown? I understand the other part, a default image for cases where a blog post does not have an image. But I do not understand the part above, what is front page? I thought all sharing was made from the post itself and uses the featured image in the post (if any and in other cases the default image). So please explain was FRONTPAGE is and where I can see it? ??

    The front page is the main page, or homepage, of your WordPress site. To view the front page, go to your WordPress admin dashboard and click on the house icon with your site name in the admin bar at the top of the screen.

    So then I understand they ask for the frontpage of my website ?? Then next question is why? Why would that be needed for post sharing?

    You need to fill up the social open graph metadata for your homepage is because when sharing your site front page https://www.ayoungerskin.com/ on Facebook, you probably want to show a specific image, title, and description.
