Jetpack is continually losing the ability to post to FB pages I manage, and when I try to reconnect, it doesn’t recognize all the pages I manage so I cannot reconnect to many clients’ pages. It also just stops posting when it is connected (like it says I am). The posts don’t show on FB. I also have paid Jetpack sites with the same issues.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hey @jefferisp7,

I checked the logs generated for the site you mentioned and found the following errorL

Error 400 (The user must be an administrator, editor, or moderator of the page in order to impersonate it. If the page business requires Two Factor Authentication, the user also needs to enable Two Factor Authentication.)

This issue occurs if the Facebook profile used to connect the Facebook page is no longer an admin or the Facebook page requires Two Factor Authentication.?

To resolve this, please check the Facebook Page’s?Settings > Page Roles?and verify that your Facebook (personal) Profile is shown as an Admin.

    • If it is not shown there, request that someone adds you as an Admin.
    • If is shown there, have another Admin look at the Page’s Page Roles from their account and confirm they can see you. If not, have them add you. If they can see you, then remove yourself from the Page and have them add you back as an Admin.

This error can be hard to prevent as it comes from issues within Facebook itself. Having multiple Admins on your Facebook Page and verifying that each of them can see the rest of the Admins should prevent it from affecting your messages.

I hope this clears things up, but please let me know if you have any further questions!

It is weird. I am able to login to the page as the owner(?) I see the manage button. I have the page in Meta Business. But under settings & privacy I don’t see any Page Roles. I set up this page for the client under my management. …. so I am CONFUSED.

    Hi @jefferisp7,

According to your latest reply, I understood that the page is managed by Meta’s Business Manager, is that correct? If that’s the case, it won’t be possible to use it with Jetpack Social at the moment, as explained in our documentation:

    https://jetpack.com/support/jetpack-social/facebook/#connect-facebook

You can remove the page from the Business Manager according to these steps:

I am NOT a fan of Meta Business in general. Does removing a page from a business account prevent me from managing the page as I had done in the past?

Also, when I go either to business settings or meta it says the page is in MY account. I can’t remove it. I created these pages for clients and rather than try to have them set them up, which was not part of their technical know-how, I put the pages under my account. So I don’t think I can use Jetpack for several client pages any longer. Meta is controlling me rather than the other way around.

Meta moved them automatically into the Meta universe whether I wanted them there or not.

Hello there – have you confirmed that:

    • You have full control of the business account.
    • It is not connected to other business assets

If the above two things don’t match, it seems you can’t remove a page from business account. If you are still having the issue then next step would be to try contacting the Facebook Business Help.

    Hello @jefferisp7,

Do you have updates about that? We usually close inactive threads after one week of no activity, but we want to make sure we’re all set before marking it as solved. Thanks!

No still an issue. I cannot unmanage all my client sites just to post to FB.

    Hi @jefferisp7

I am afraid it won’t be possible at the moment to connect those pages since they are managed by Facebook Business Manager.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

    Best,
