About:Blank page for all mailto links now

  • I had installed this on all my client websites and it worked great, until it stopped. Now when I roll over any mailto links on my client sites it shows “javascript” instead of “mailto:email” and if I click on the mailto link it opens a new tab that is blank and shows url of “about:blank”. I disabled the plugin and the mailto links work fine. I am having to go through all my client websites and remove this plugin and replace it. Very disappointing. Would like to know if support has stopped for this plugin or if it will be fixed. My sites are all fully updated.

    Well, I assume this plugin has been abandoned. Sad.

    Hello!

    I cannot confirm the error you mentioned. I use the plugin on >20 different websites and none of them have broken.
    I suspect that there is an incompatibility due to another plugin or your theme, which delivers its own Java script due to an update, for example, and now there are side effects.
    The best thing to do is to turn off all plugins that have been updated since the error and then work through step by step which one is causing the effect.
