Absolute Newbie With Caption Font Color Issue.

    Okay, I decided I wanted to blog. Having never blogged before, I’ve had to do a fair bit of learning, and I’m still learning.

    My problem is, when I add a photo to a post, the caption shows up white against a white background. I looked in the HTML of the theme I’m using (Crumble) and did not see anywhere I could specify caption background color or caption text color. I’m not very good with HTML, though, so I might have missed something.

    I saw other answers to this question, but the solutions either didn’t work for me or were outdated, or involved CSS, which I know nothing about. If some kind soul could help me figure this out, I would be very grateful.

    I can post specific chunks of code if that’s helpful, just ask (and tell me what to look for).

    Assign what ever color value you like,
    place inside “caption” area of image

    please contact the theme’s developer for support, via themeforest.

    commercial themes are not supported by this forum.

    for general formatting problems, try working with a browser inspection tool such as Firefox’ web developer add-on or similar other browser tools, to identify where the formatting comes from.

    Search .wp-caption in style.css of your theme

    Whoops, didn’t know commercial themes weren’t supported by this forum. I will try the tips in this thread, and if they don’t work, I’ll contact the theme’s developer. Thank you, all three of you!

    Edit: For anyone who reads this thread with the same problem, Amado.Miami’s solution works. You have to enter it into each caption, however, so it might not be the best long-term solution for some. It will make your captions visible until you can figure out how to change your theme, and I believe it will work in any theme.
