Using this plug-in has been a dream! Not only does it perform as described: it seriously is simple podcasting, but my podcast looks amazing on iTunes.

There were a few things I had to discover—as with anything worthwhile, there is a learning curve—but I rounded it with the help of the plug-in creator and some of the other lovely WordPress users via this forum.

I think it only fair to admit that I’m not new to wordpress, however none of my advanced skills were needed at all.

Here are a couple of tips from me…

Tip #1 – If you’re using the “Site Builder” plug-in, it’s better not to use it for the podcast episode description. It translates very poorly in the iTunes app/Podcast app atmosphere. Links work fine wrapped up in their code but other html like bold and italics and colors don’t show up in iTunes.

Tip #2 – I found that it’s best to write out the link address in addition to an html wrapped link [for example blah blah blah, click here in case someone is viewing from a screen other than the “view full episode description” page inside the iTunes/Podcast app (which is the only place that links are active and work). There are other areas in iTunes where the description shows up but the links aren’t functional everyplace the description appears. There’s nothing wrong with that. Just something to know.

This is an amazing plug-in. Definitely use it (and don’t forget to thank the plug-in creator for making our podcasts look so good, and all for free)!
