• Where do I even start? This is a terrible editor, through and through. If I wanted an extremely simplistic editor for BLOGS (read: not EVERY single WordPress site), I would think this a decent work in progress.

The fact of the matter is, WP developers are trying to push this on us all. That’s why I can’t vote this thing more than a star (and even then I’m being generous), and I can’t support this plugin whatsoever.

Again, if it were a free choice for a blog (and if I were a blogger), I’d probably come to like this plugin. Unfortunately that’s never going to happen.

You gone messed up, son. Please leave the WYSIWYG editor alone and stop making developer’s lives harder. Thank you.

  • Hi there, thanks for taking the time to write a review. Would you mind sharing some feedback on specific aspects of Gutenberg that you dislike? How can it be improved, in your opinion?

If you prefer the classic editor over Gutenberg, you can try the Classic Editor Plugin and then you will not see Gutenberg in your dashboard at all (even after it is added to Core).

    Thanks!

Ah, that’s the whole point. Why does Gutenberg have to be forced onto Core in the first place?

Now as developers, we have to take one arbitrary step to prevent Gutenberg from becoming auto-installed on our clients’ sites.
