• Google’s Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) Project is in reference to all the pages of your website. This plugin only works on Posts, but it is branded as AMP/Accelerated Mobile PAGES Project. I’ll keep looking for a plugin that works rather than waste the time on one that is only half ass compatible.

Heh… well, Automattic/WordPress didn’t come up with the ‘pages’ in Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP), Google did. SO, probably good to complain to Google about that ??

Heh…well, maybe Automatic (don’t drag WordPress into this, they have done nothing wrong) should update their plugin to do what it advertises it is capable of or at least change the name so people that don’t do research, get what they are looking for.

  • waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.

Plugin is specifically intended for posts on news portals.

It does what it is intended to do, and works perfectly for what it is advertised to do (for free).

Sad how trolls like to “zero rate” plugins provided FREE to the community, and do what they say they do, just not what YOU want them to do.

    Meh. Children.

Shit, my bad man! I really didn’t mean for this to be a support topic and I didn’t realize I could update my review. Updated it, the stars just aren’t showing correctly yet for me but I noticed the 1 Star Ratings (-1) lost a star after I updated it.

Not trying to be a troll, haha, your the first person to ever call me that!

    Thanks for the update.

So did you create this plugin Neotrope? It looks like you are the only one that replies to stuff here.

FYI, Automattic is the company that created WordPress, thus @neotrope’s Automattic/WordPress reference is quite correct.

And the information for this free and open source AMP plugin clearly says:

Note #1: that Pages and archives are not currently supported.

So there is really absolutely no misinformation on this plugin.

A more interesting question would be to ask why Pages aren’t supported, if they will be supported in the future, and what is so different between Posts and Pages that the same code does not work for both ?? But, alas, that would require delving deep into the plugin to see how AMP was implemented…

That is actually the interesting question that I asked, because I saw that “Note #1” and the definition of AMP. This was resolved after @neotrope explained everything and that it is possible with some configuration. Thanks though.

Nope. That’s wrong. Automattic did not exist when WordPress was created.

One of the founders of that project did go on to make WordPress.COM (he was the trademark owner then) but Automattic != WordPress. True story.

That’s very interesting, thanks for the extra input!
