Accented characters in CSV export

Hi,
I maintain a site in French, which means registration fields contain accented characters.
Is there a way to have them properly encoded in the CSV file ?
Currently Excel displays two strange characters for each accented one.
For example “Frédéric” becomes “Fr√?d√?ric”.
I believe this is related to UTF-8 encodeing ?Thanks for your time,

Hi Thierry,
I’ve looked into this several times for people using excel. Each time the plugin is doing what it can do and the rest is beyond what the plugin can control. Note the plugin does not control the encoding. Please see these posts to understand what the plugin does to help as much as possible and some links or ideas to how you might get it to work for your setup – mostly it seems to be an excel thing. I haven’t updated these posts recently – there may be more recent excel advice you can find by googling.
