    Hi,

I have this problem where all my caracter with accents like : é è ê ? , are getting replaced by ?.

Is there a way to fix this? Already tried to add the charset UTF-8 but it doesnt seem to work. Maybe I’m doing it wrong.

    Thanks !

Hi! The PDF invoice plugin is already generating UTF-8 output.
If you are not using a custom font, then check the Status tab of the PDF invoice settings. It’s possible that your server does not have PHP MB String enabled, in that case fallback functions will be used but this is limited.

If you are actually using a custom font, the font is missing the required characters, you’ll need to find a version of the font that includes them.

Let me know if you need more help with this!

We recently changed server, this is most likely the issue. Do you have any tips or info to enable “PHP MB String” on a server?

    Thanks alot !

I don’t have any specific tips, other than asking your host. MB String is a very common PHP extension that is enabled on most servers and if not can usually be enabled with a simple click (in my own hosting for example this is a checkbox in cPanel under “Select PHP version”).

    Hope that helps!
