Hello, I am trying to send a post with an emoji in the title, however it is not sent.

Please could you make the changes to accept emojis.

Thank you very much for your time and your work.

    Greetings

Hi @packsdotxxx, glad to help. The plugin accepts emoji characters for almost all form fields. Is there maybe some specific emoji that is not working for you?

I am unable to repeat the issue on default WordPress. I am glad to help troubleshoot. First thing to try, display only the content field and post title field on the form. Then try again with the emojis if the post goes thru.

Okay next thing to try: switch to the default theme and deactivate all other plugins. Then try again with the simple form.

The problem continues, as tested with the Twenty Twenty-Three and Twenty Twenty-Four themes.

    Without any plugin, just USP.

Then I am stumped. Maybe try using just super common emojis, like ?? ?? ?? ?? ??.

Me the same, I’m sorry to mention that it doesn’t work for me with common emojis either.

But strangely enough, it worked with these emojis: ?? ?

Interesting. The issue could be browser-related. Have you tried using Chrome, Firefox, Opera, et al, may provide further clues.

I just tried it in Chrome, Brave and Firefox, with the same results as before.

It maybe is a setting that was changed from the defaults. Try completely uninstalling the plugin via the WP Plugins screen. Then install a new copy, and leave all settings at their default values. Then try again. Remember to test using the default theme and no other plugins active.

I don’t know then. It could maybe be due to some config rules on the server, but you would need to investigate that yourself possibly with the help of your web host.

    Yes, that’s what I’ll do.

I’m going to try moving to other servers too. If I find a solution I will come back here.

Thank you very much for your time, have a great day.

You are very welcome. Let me know if I can provide any further info about the plugin. I will leave this thread open in case anyone else has some ideas that may help.
