Acceptance check box for GDPR privacy law

It will be really helpful if you can help us out further, means how can we make our plugin compliance with GDPR law. Once we will have all the necessary information, we can start working on this.

Looking forward to your co-operation regarding the same.

That means that I must integrate an acceptance checkbox for privacy terms and conditions. According GDPR users have to consent to recording and processing their personal data e.g. email addresses.

And according German and many other European laws we need a double opt-in to pretend abuse with email addresses from third parties.

@redima, we understand the importance of the acceptance of the checkbox. However, should we add this checkbox when user will subscribe to the product?

That would be perfect.

Unfortunately a double opt-in will be necessary as well. Is there already an option for this or are you planning to add this feature?

We’re looking for a restock alert plugin for some time now and never found a developer willing to add double opt-in support.

We’re looking for the following flow:
– Product is out of stock
– Email field appears
– Customer enters email and checks the ?I have read the terms…“-checkbox (please let this be customisable)
– Customer receives a mail to confirm that he want’s to receive a mail, as soon as the product is available again
– Customer clicks the confirmation link
– Customer is added to the list

I have read a ton of requests for DoubleOpt-In from european WP-users in my search for a GDPR-compliant Waitlist-/Stocklist-Plugin. So far not one has this functionality. So I would buy it right away and also tell all others that the search is finally over.

Make a Premium-Version! Would be totally worth it!

@dualcube just as @practicalmagic said, I would also be willing to pay for the plugin, just for the sake of this one feature. I could not find a single waitlist plugin that supports DOI and is GDPR-compliant…

I think quite many people would be willing to pay for this plugin. Having it ready before May 25th would be great. @dualcube Is there any possible way to support the progress by paying for it beforehand?
