    Hi,
Sounds like a very nice plugin but unfortunately I cannot get it to work as I only get the authentication code but not the acces token after clicking “allow” at the linkedin pop-up box that appears after clicking at the “Get Authorisation Code & Access Token”.

I did exactly as described in the video and even deleted the linkedin app and created a new as you suggested in another thread but still I don’t get the acces token.

Could you please suggest anything else I can do to get the acces token when the authentication code so nicely appears by itself after clicking allow?

    Edited:
Well, I also use another LinkedIn plugin – WP LinkedIn – and there I found an acces token that I copied to this plugin and it seems to work with this acces token, at least now I can choose the right company at the “Profile or Company” tab.
Maybe the error with the missing acces token occurs because of a conflict between the two LinkedIn plugins?

    Hi @minpavillon,

I am sorry you experienced this issue. I would really appreciate it if you could give me some additional information as I have made some recent changes around the callback URL of the plugin and this might be affecting you.

First question, what version of the plugin are you using? Is it 5.18 (the latest version) or a version previous? If you are using 5.17 and the issue occurred, can I strongly recommend upgrading and try clicking the authentication button again.

Lastly, is your website HTTP or HTTPS? i.e. https://yourwebsite.com or https://yourwebsites.com

It’s important we get to the bottom of this because in 60 days time you will need to re-authenticate the plugin again because that’s how long LinkedIn tokens last for unfortunately – so you will need to go through this hassle again if the plugin doesn’t work.

Hi, I am using the newest version as I installed the plugin Yesterday. My website is https and actually I added a s to the url to be copied into the LinkedIn app but this url was not accepted so I deleted it and copied the url without s exactly as it is written in your deskription.

@northernbeacheswebsites I’ve deleted your offer to login to your user’s site. I’m am 100% sure you mean well but please never ask for credentials on these forums.

Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.

If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.

Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us asking you to repeatedly stop before escalating up to the plugins team.
