access.-bow virus?

  • My wordpress site is currently being listed as a ‘Dangerous’ site. In the google console, the files that are causing this designation all have the following ending URL:
    /wordpress/access.-bow

    When I go to the wordpress install, I see no access folder – so I don’t know what to remove. Anyone else run into this?

    Side note: I’ve run both a WordFence and Sucuri scan and nothing shows up.

    Are you able to access your site via FTP/SSH/cPanel File Manager? If so, that file should become visible to you inside your WordPress folder. If you cannot access your site files, then you should contact your hosting company and ask for help!
