• I am looking to have a login box on my homepage where a code is entered in to access a page on my website. The code will be used my multiple people to access it. There are no other features needed. I was thinking of something like a search box that would redirect to the page based on the access code and just set the page to be private. Would this work? I did search for plugins but I haven’t found one that looks like it would work.

  • If you’re wanting to lock down the entire WordPres site, the Password Protected plugin maybe a good place to get started.

It’s important to note, WordPress has this functionality built into a single post, but not the entire site (set under post visibility).

This is the option I went with/
    1. I installed Ajax Search Lite
    2. Set it to redirect to the first match
    3. I put the access code in the title.
    4. Added search and changed it to say Enter Access Code.

All I needed and it redirects to the page I want them to access. I may play around a little more with it, but I don’t need any security on it. Just a custom page with their content on it they can share the access code to. I may put the password on the page as the access code to prevent them from entering the page without it.
