    One more…
Since there is no “sold” function in the plugin (I cannot see it in the premium version either) I am trying to add “SOLD” in bold and red to the description – the catalogue is for an artist and it is normal to keep items in there for a time after they are sold, but, clearly, indicating that they are no longer available.

When I save without formatting it’s fine but if I try to add either bold or red, I get the following server error:

The page you are trying to access is restricted due to a security rule.

If you believe the security rule is affecting the normal operation of your website, contact your host support team and provide detailed instructions how to recreate this error.
They will be able to assist you with rectifying the problem and adjusting the security configuration if needed.

I realise this is a hosting issue but since it’s related to formatting within the plugin, I thought I’d better ask here first to know what to look for.

    Thanks

  • Hi @aahkendall,

If you’re getting a “security rule”, then it is likely caused by either some kind of restriction that’s been placed directly in your site or at the hosting level. Do you have any security plugins installed? Or maybe caching plugins that also have security-like features? Or do you have any plugins installed that restrict user accesses and roles? You should also look in your .htaccess file to see if there is any code in there that would affect this.

    Thanks @etoilewebdesign,

I did check the plugins yes, and I use the default htaccess file. But in the end, as per your other suggestion, my hosting company, SiteGround, have identified the security rule and disabled it.

    Thanks again,
    Arthur

Thank you for letting us know!
