Access Expiration on Views per User HELP

Hi,

I’ve been looking for a way to limit the number of views a user has to a particular page (or post). So it expires after the fifth time the person goes to the page/post.

I found this plugin https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/access-expiration/ however it hasn’t been updated since 2008 and VERY wary of using it as it’s for a live site.

Is anyone using this plugin on the latest WP version? Or does anyone know of a plugin that does a similar thing? Or a function that can go in the function.php to get this working?

Need to set this up urgently … so any help appreciated.
