Access site that has HTTP authentication

    I need to export posts from a site that has HTTP authentication enabled. When I import the posts to another site, the featured image cannot be retrieved, I’m assuming because of the authentication. When I turn off the authentication on the original post site, and repeat the process, the featured images are included.

    Is there a way to add site login credentials into the xml file?

    Hi Namafit,

    Not that I know of. That would be a feature of the WordPress Export plugin. My Export media plugin only modifies the items that are exported by that plugin, not the generic working of it.

    Happy to hear you got it working by temporarily disabling the HTTP login.
