    Hi!

Paid Memberships Pro currently doesn’t support multi-level access so getting a new membership level would end up functioning like an upgrade but there are some workarounds:

    https://www.paidmembershipspro.com/2015/02/multiple-membership-levels-per-user-pmpro-workarounds/

Also, I’ve come across a plugin called Konnichiwa that you may be able to use with PmPro to possibly achieve this:

    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/konnichiwa/

I was doing some exploring and I think you can use PmPro to handle things like user registrations (maybe by making a membership level available) and then use Konnichiwa to handle other subscriptions.

Good luck and keep us posted! ??

Edit: Just thought I’d add some detail on the additional plugin option. You could create a membership level in PmPro in order to encourage users to actually register. Then you could make “subscription plans” (or membership levels) using Konnichiwa. Only registered users would be able to subscribe for those subscription plans. And as far as I know, when they sign up for more than one subscription plan, they don’t lose access to the one they previously had.

    Thank you!

I downloaded/installed the PMPro addons plugin, but I couldn’t quite figure out how to make it work with my current membership levels?

So, now I’m going to give the Konnichiwa plugin a try, I’ll keep you posted!

    Hi Betsy!

You see the PmPro Addon thing when you’re making a new post or page.

Good luck with the Konnichiwa plugin! I hope it works for you.

    Hi (again),

I think I’m making this more complicated than it should be, …too many hours installing/working on too many plugins at the same time and now I’m feeling super confused! ?? LoL

Okay, so I have created a membership portal here is the link:
    members.concreteandiron.com

I think you can see the tabs?

I offer 4 different programs, and I want to be able to give access to more than one as the user purchases additional programs.

So, for instance a user purchases the Detox-1 then later decides to purchase the 14 Day Weight Loss. I want them to have access to both since they purchased both.

I set up membership levels using PMPro, I just installed the Konnichaiwa so if I set up new membership levels using Konnichiwa how does the system know which is the default? Do I need to deactivate the PMPro?

I appreciate any help you can provide, thanks!

We’re all here to support each other so I’m gonna try my best!

Alright, I’ve checked out your site. Why don’t try this:

    – Create one membership level using PmPro (just something to encourage people to register. It could be a free one.)

    – Use Konnichiwa to create the Basic, Healthy Habits, Plus and Premium membership levels by creating them as subscription plans. Make a page that shows what subscription plans are available.

Added thought: You could use the membership level created under PmPro to grant access to the page that shows the Konnichiwa subscription plans.

    Hope this works!

Okay, so here is what I did …

    1.) Install/activate the ‘pmpro-addon-packages’
2.) Users – choose user then click edit
3.) Under Membership Level – select new level
4.) Under Purchased Addon Packages – input post/page ID then click enter
5.) Scroll down – click Update User

    Ta da!!!

Now, my user will have access to each of the programs they purchased! : )

Thank you so much for your help.

Hmmm, not sure why but my user doesn’t have access any longer?

Before I give the Konnichiwa plugin a try does anyone have any other suggestions on how to make this work using PMPRO addon?

    Thanks!

    Hi Betsy!

Check out this page. There’s an explanation on using the Pmpro Addon to charge for access to a page:

I hope it helps! Keep us posted. ??

Chiming in a bit late here, but just to simplify – Paid Memberships Pro doesn’t “know” you levels are tiered, so all you need to do is give Level 2 access to the same things as Level 1 where you have set those content restrictions – either via Post Category, single Post, or a single Page. Just tick off the membership access for all allowed levels.

Okay, so I have created levels using “series” would I check the boxes to give access on the series page or on the drip pages inside of the series?

    For instance:

Series = Basic Membership (Level 1)
Series = PLUS Membership (Level 2)
Series = Premium Membership (Level 3)

Level 1 has a Detox program.
Level 2 has a Detox program + 14 day weight loss plan.
Level 3 has a Detox program + 14 day weight loss plan + 28 day weight loss plan.

If a client purchases Level 1 and then later wants to upgrade to Level 2 or 3 I want them to still have access to the content in Level 1.

So, should I check the boxes in the series or on the actual pages that I am adding to the series as drip content?

    Thanks!

Just wanted to jump back in with a further update!

I changed it to just 1 FREE membership level then added 3 Addon pages that contain the additional programs. Once purchased they will have access to the new and the old content. Yay!

    But …

When a client joins the FREE membership level and say 4 days later purchases an Addon page it continues on day 4 of their membership. It’s a problem because the content in the Addon page has Drip Content and they are being given the first 4 days at once instead of giving them 1 day at a time as I’ve set up in the drip content section.

Any suggestions on a fix for this?
