• I have always used this bit of code

    # Block access to wp-admin.
    order deny,allow
    allow from x.x.x.x
    deny from all

in my .htaccess file to limit access to my wp-admin, but now I can’t reach my login page with this code in my .htaccess file. Has something changed with the newest version of WordPress? Before deleting that bit of code, I tried renaming my plugins folder to see if it was a plugin causing an issue, but that didn’t seem to help. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks!

Nope. Have you spoken to your hosts about this?

I spoke to my hosting service because of the problem and they just took the code out of the .htaccess file. ??

The only thing that WordPress uses by default in your root .htaccess file is the permalink rewrites. Everything else .htaccess-related is controlled by your server – not WordPress.
