• Hi there,

I am working with a client who uses a screen reader to make and update posts on their WordPress page. They have come to know and love the classic editor, but were open to trying Gutenberg. So far they are having issues:

    • They can’t seem to access the toolbar in regular paragraph blocks. Specifically they were baffled with how to add links
    • They seem to have trouble with telling apart which blocks to what they do, and end up adding a lot of extra or blank blocks without knowing it.

I see some accessibility items open in GitHub, but I am not sure how much can or will be addressed. I think the main issue my client is having is that there are not text labels (aria labels) for the “toolbar” items or if they are they are not in a readily apparent.
