Accessibility of calendar
-
A blind user of my website was kind enough to send me this feedback about the accessibility of the Event Post calendar. I am passing it on in case you are able to make adjustments so that users can navigate the calendar using a screen reader for the blind, such as NVDA (that’s the one she uses):
‘When I navigate into your calendar, I hear, “Table with 9 rows and 7 columns.” I can use the up and down arrow keys to navigate from cell to cell. one row at a time. But if I try to use ctrl+alt+up or down arrow to jump between rows, I get the message, “Edge of table.” … I’m not a coder, but this makes me think there are tables inside the cells of the main table, which I understand screen readers don’t navigate very well.’
