Accessing MP3 files without loading Windows Media Player

  • I successfully uploaded an MP3 file and linked it to a page. See https://www.br-digiphoto.com/weblog/words/kiss-your-photos/4/ – then scroll to the bottom of the page.

    If you click on this, the MP3 file plays, but first it brings up Windows Media Player (or whatever software has been designated to play MP3 files).

    But if you visit https://www.br-digiphoto.com/Potpourri/, you can see that this software triggers a click when you move the mouse over the thumbnails, and a shutter sound when you click on a thumbnail. These MP3 files play without bringing up Windows Media Player or any other software.

    How can I change the code in WordPress to make it do the same thing?

    I looked at the code in both programs but, sorry, I don’t have enough experience to figure this out.
