accessing the settings after download

    after a successful installation, I activate, but when i hit settings, i get the following message.

    how do i get around that?

    You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.

    Try re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    are you logging in as an admin. make sure you do that.
