• Dear forum

In my desperation to fix a redirect, I did for /fibernet to the homepage, I accidentally added /bredbaand as the homepage instead of /internet. This has caused my site to remove /bredbaand. When adding the prefix to https://find-internet.dk I am able to see the site, but when clicking the menu button I am taken to the frontpage.

From what I can see, this is not a redirect, if it is, how can I reverse it?

Additionally, for some reason when I change my menu structure – go to /fibernet to see the right menu structure – I am unable to see it on the homepage, even though I have changed it for this menu too. Any ideas as to what can have caused this?

Finally, when logged in, I can’t seem to see the “WP-menu” (the black bar), have any of you experienced this?

Thank you so much for all of your time.

    Best regards.

  • Have you checked your reading settings under
Settings → Reading Settings to see if the page is set correctly there?

Thank you for the concern, yes and I have just double checked to be certain.
What’s strange, is that it work as intended on Mobile, but not on desktop…

Did you use a redirect tool to add the redirect? 301 redirects get cached at multiple levels in a way that can be difficult to clear. If you try a different browser are you seeing the results as intended?

For the missing admin bar… It could mean that there is an error in your code… if you add define( 'WP_DEBUG', true ); to wp-config.php do you see any errors?

Or are you using any kind of role manager plugin? Some of those plugins allow you to specify whether the black bar is displayed for a particular role.

Chances are the missing admin bar is due to a plugin. Check that you do not have any plugins installed that remove the admin bar. Also, yes, I’d agree with pattyok it is probably not a bad idea to check and be sure you do not have any 301 redirects in your htaccess file or set up through a plugin.

Hope this helps. Once You find a solution kindly tag the thread as resolved for us.

Thank you for all your replies. What’s strange is, that I left the website untouched yesterday, till I had a reply from this forum. This morning, everything is back to normal …
The admin bar is there and the sites are all working like a charm. Thank you all for your replies though! Cheers.

If that is the case, we would appreciate you tagging this as resolved.. and if issues arise again start a new thread.

    Thank you.
